There’s a LOT of people teaching that in order to get a high quality score, high Click-Thru-Rate (CTR), and high conversion you MUST use the keyword you bid on in your ad’s headline and body.

Is that true?

Well, I put it to the test because I never believed it for a minute. And sure enough I now have proof that using the keyword in your ad DOESN’T necessary work in your favour at all.

Notice there’s a higher CTR in both occasions where I don’t use the keyword “acn” which I bid on. I also get a higher conversion rate and more leads at a lower cost. And there you have it boys and girls–finally the proof that you don’t need to use the keyword in your ad at all to keep Google and your user happy!

Does that mean you shouldn’t use the keyword in your ad ever?

Of course not. But you should definitely test to see if you can get a better result WITHOUT it.

The reason that there is a profound difference when i split-test the ads is that i am using an insider term that SCREAMS relevance to the searcher without it being obvious to Google. That’s what happens when I don’t use “ACN” in my ad copy.

And Google will reward you equally well with discounted click costs and high quality score because they believe the searcher’s assessment of usefulness over what the advertiser tries to tell Google. The bottom line is, you pay LESS to reach MORE people.

We’d just finished hosting one of the CRAZIEST events of our lives a PPC live event in Kansas of all places. It was deep in the sticks with buaffalo and cow everywhere.

I remember driving David in from the airport and he was freaked out about where Aaron Rashkin and I were taking him. It was pitch black and neither of us knew where we were going. It all went well though and while sitting around the bon fire on the last day, trading war stories of our time in Network Marketing…we get this email from Mike Dillard telling us that Traffic Formula 2 was coming out on Wednesday.

We rememebered back to the first time it was launched about 3 years ago…David and I had come a long way since. Back then, we knew nothing about Internet Marketing and it was our first real introduction on traffic and lead generation.

Since taking the MLM Traffic Formula original course, and using the strategies taught in it…I’d successfully generated 1,000 leads a day in Home Business and as many as 20,000 leads a month. And twoard the beginning of this year, I did a product launch that scored half a million in sales in 5 days.

In fact, the event itself that we were hosting attracted some of the top people in the Network Marketing industry–people who made in excess of 100k a month JUST from sponsoring people into their downlines. One guy sold an information product in the investment market and did 10 million dollars in sales on the launch.

So when we heard MLM Traffic Formula 2.0 was coming out, we knew immediately that it was going to be a game changer for anyone starting out in the online advertising of their home based business.

By the way, the reason i cracked up laughing when David said 100k a month is that one of the guys had recorded a funny (drunk) capture page video about his making 100 “gees” as he called it…when a possum came and attacked him around the bon fire. I remembered that and had to laugh.

Anyway, Traffic Formula 2.0 is the updated and revamped course. It will contain a lot more of the new techniques like social media and YouTube which weren’t really around when the first edition launched.
